The Zoological Quagmire

As a FONZy (Friend of the National Zoo) this really disturbs. Seems that veterinary staff has completely ignored the needs of small primates and less visible animals. The Department of Agriculture has found the zoo's failed to undertake preventive care for the majority of small primates, because the veterinarians are too busy treating older and sicker animals. The result of course is that the once healthy animals become sicker. The situation has completly spiraled out of control and the Bush Administration would be wise to step in and ensure a complete housecleaning of Zoo management. This could quickly turn into an unneccessary and prickly political problem for them. Whats most frustrating is that resolving it requires very very little effort.
