As they start the climb up Galibier, the leaders had a gap of almost 3:30 on the peloton - more than enough to survive the climb - but Discover has done a decent job of cutting it back to 3 minutes. Also Pereiro has been dropped by Botero and Vino and looks to be swallowed up soon by the Peloton as Iban Mayo gets dropped from the Discovery led Peloton.
