Fiarfax County Virginia County Supervisor Gerald "Vote for Me, I'm Gonna Raise Your Taxes" Connolly (D) has been acquitted on of a hit and run charge stemming from an accident last year.

The reason ?

Johnston, in issuing his not guilty ruling, said Connolly's "position and his duties have caused him to be oblivious to what is going on in his car."

Folks, you can't make this crap up.
