The New Republic Online: Easterbrook

Gregg Easterbrook gives high praise to Tony Cordesman's new book
The Iraq War by Anthony Cordesman. Barely a year after the military part of the conflict ended, Cordesman, a fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, is out with 572 pages of details. The Iraq War contains more acronyms per page than any book in recent memory, and is brimming with dates, statistics, and similar particulars. Not exactly nappy reading, but will be an indispensable resource for anyone writing about the Iraq war from any political perspective.
Haven't read it, but after working with Tony on a couple of issues over the years I have full faith in his ability to deliver the goods, especially on middle east strategic issues. He's a bit snooty, but the guy knows his stuff and is the most unbreakable expert witness I ever had the pleasure of putting on the witness stand.
