Just in time for the 2006 elections, Rove is able to turn a non story about a plain jane M&A deal into the doomsday scenario the Dems never saw coming.

Now, not only are they not serious about fighting the war on terror, but the entire cast of leading Democrats (and some congressional republicans who don't really matter in the national picture) have become one bunch of sniping bigoted rascists (who by the way still aren't serious about the war on terror).

Genius, I tell you. Pure genius.
